Coach Within launches ILM endorsed programme

A new programme for practising coaches which combines supervision, personal enquiry and directed learning, and earns an ILM certificate for 100 assessed hours of professional education, has been launched by the Coach Within. The Reflective Practitioner is a holistic programme designed for experienced coaches who have either had coach specific training or have worked with clients for at least two years. Theory modules include understanding mental health issues and using reflective writing to deepen coaching presence, while case work and case studies ensure that the learning is grounded in personal practice. The programme is available for groups and individuals, and can run from six to 12 months depending on personal preference. Get in touch.

Liz speaks at CIPD Coaching Conference

Liz presented a case study of the BBC’s award-winning Coaching Network at the CIPD’s coaching conference in London in September. She explained how the BBC was able to offer 650 coaching programmes a year from a cadre of volunteers who coached on top of the day job and received comprehensive support in the form of personal and group supervision, CPD and help with external accreditation. The Coach Within provides external supervision and development workshops for the BBC and can offer a similar service to other organisations developing their own internal coaching capability. Most coaches look forward to supervision and yet many fail to make the most of this time for personal development and reflection.
